Luxury Bespoke Home Study & Library – Worplesdon, Surrey

We recently completed this bespoke home study and library for our customer in Worplesdon, Surrey, creating a sophisticated workspace that combines practical storage with elegant, handcrafted joinery.

Designed, manufactured and installed by our experienced team, this bespoke fitted library features beautifully crafted cabinetry finished in Farrow & Ball Preference Red, complemented by the warm tones of Natural Carini Walnut. A fully integrated hidden door completes the installation, providing discreet access to an adjoining room while maintaining the appearance of the fitted bookcases.

Customer brief

Our customer wanted a luxury home office that could also function as a traditional library, offering generous book storage, display shelving and a calm working environment.

The design needed to:

The cabinetry is finished in the rich, heritage-inspired Farrow & Ball Preference Red, creating depth and character, while the Natural Carini Walnut interiors introduce warmth and contrast. Together, these materials create a luxurious home library that feels both contemporary and timeless.

Unlike modular furniture, our bespoke fitted home office furniture makes full use of the available space, providing significantly more storage while achieving a perfect built-in appearance.

Hidden door bookcase design

One of the standout features of this bespoke library is the concealed hidden door, expertly integrated into the fitted bookcases.

Using a specialist hidden door mechanism, the entrance is disguised within the cabinetry, allowing the shelving to continue uninterrupted across the wall. The result is a clean architectural finish that adds both practicality and a unique design feature to the room.
