Bespoke sapele pergola, trellis and gate – Crookham village, Hampshire

Our customer wanted to transform their garden with a beautifully crafted timber structure that would complement the architecture of their home while creating a more considered and inviting outdoor space.

The brief was to design and create a bespoke Sapele pergola, trellis and gated entrance, with each element carefully proportioned and detailed to work harmoniously within the garden.

Designed around the property

Every aspect of the project was designed specifically for the space. From the proportions of the pergola through to the detailing of the trellis and gate, our aim was to create a refined and cohesive design that felt as though it had always belonged there.

Sapele hardwood was selected for its rich natural tones, distinctive grain and excellent suitability for exterior joinery. Its warmth brings a sophisticated finish to the garden while providing the durability required for a long-lasting outdoor installation.

Precision manufacturing

Once the design was approved, the pergola, trellis and gate were manufactured in our Church Crookham workshop, combining our joinery expertise with modern CNC technology.

The individual elements were precision-cut using our CNC machine, allowing us to achieve the exact shapes, proportions and intricate detailing required for the design.

By manufacturing the components in-house, we were able to maintain complete control over the quality, accuracy and finish of every element. Each piece was carefully prepared before being taken to site ready for installation.

A timeless finish

Our installation team brought the completed pieces together at the property, ensuring every element fitted seamlessly within the garden.

The finished Sapele pergola creates an elegant architectural feature, while the bespoke trellis and gated entrance add definition and privacy to the space.

The rich character of the Sapele complements the surrounding planting and landscaping, creating an outdoor setting that feels both sophisticated and timeless.

The result is a carefully considered piece of exterior joinery, designed not simply as an addition to the garden, but as an integral part of the property.
