For this private home in West Byfleet, Surrey, we were invited to create a bespoke in-frame kitchen that would feel both elegant and effortlessly functional — a space designed not just for cooking, but for living, entertaining, and everyday enjoyment.

From the initial concept through to manufacture and installation, every detail was carefully considered to deliver a kitchen that reflects refined taste, enduring quality, and exceptional craftsmanship.

Materials and Craftsmanship

The kitchen features a traditional shaker in-frame door style, chosen for its timeless appeal and architectural presence. Clean lines and balanced proportions ensure the design will remain elegant for years to come, while bespoke detailing elevates the cabinetry beyond standard fitted kitchens.

Design and Layout

At the heart of the kitchen sits a beautifully proportioned statement island, finished in a rich, contrasting tone and designed to anchor the space. The island incorporates generous storage alongside a breakfast unit, creating a relaxed setting for informal dining, morning coffee, or entertaining guests.

A bespoke pantry unit completes the layout, offering discreet, well-organised storage while maintaining a calm, uncluttered aesthetic throughout the room.

Materials that speak of quality

Crafted entirely in-house, the kitchen showcases premium materials selected for both beauty and longevity:

Internal Cabinetry: Lacquered oak veneer poplar ply

Drawers: Solid oak dovetail drawer boxes

These natural materials bring warmth and texture to the interiors, offering a quiet sense of luxury that is felt as much as it is seen.

Main Cabinetry: Farrow & Ball – Moles Breath

The darker island creates a striking focal point, while the softer surrounding cabinetry lends a sense of calm and cohesion, resulting in a kitchen that feels both inviting and elevated.

Every element was chosen to enhance the overall experience of the space:

Handles: Satin knobs and cup handles

Lighting: Soft plinth lighting throughout

The understated hardware complements the shaker design, while the integrated plinth lighting adds a gentle ambient glow, bringing warmth and atmosphere to the kitchen during both day and evening.

The completed kitchen is a blend of craftsmanship, comfort, and understated luxury. Designed around the customer’s lifestyle and handcrafted to exacting standards, it is a space that feels timeless, personal, and beautifully made.
