Bespoke Home Bar – Silverstone, Northamptonshire

project overview

Every great space begins with a great idea and in this case, it was the dream of a beautiful home bar in the heart of Silvestone, Northamptonshire.

The brief was to design a luxurious bar that would also transform an underused annex into a stylish, functional extension of the home. A space to unwind, entertain and store everything with ease and elegance.

We brought that vision to life by blending smart design with quality materials and a touch of traditional craftsmanship. The result is a bespoke bar that feels effortlessly refined, contemporary and completely personal.

Design and Aesthetic

We made the bespoke shaker style home bar the focal point of the space, finishing it in Farrow & Ball Railings, a dark blue-black tone that adds depth and drama. Brushed brass T-bar handles and a brushed brass foot rail introduce warm metallic accents that elevate the traditional shaker look.

To extend the design across the room, we built a coordinated bench seating area beside the bar, also finished in the signature Railings colour for a well-coordinated look.

Key Features

Cabinetry & Finishes

We used traditional shaker-style cladding to bring timeless appeal to the design, with every element colour-matched in Farrow & Ball Railings for a consistent, sophisticated look.

To introduce warmth and texture, we incorporated solid walnut shelves and a walnut veneer slatted panel, adding visual depth to the space. Inside the cabinetry, we lined the units with indigo blue and oiled walnut veneer MDF, creating a premium interior finish. Adjustable shelving in all carcasses ensures flexible, practical storage tailored to the customer’s needs.

Worktops & Surfaces:

We fitted Capri Quartz worktops to deliver both durability and a sleek, modern edge that complements the traditional cabinetry. To enhance light and create a sense of spaciousness, we added a silver mirrored backsplash that reflects both natural and ambient light, brightening the entire bar area. A silver mirrored backsplash brightens the space by reflecting natural and ambient light.

Appliances & Utilities:

We equipped the bar with a built-in Neff coffee machine, delivering café-quality convenience at home. For a streamlined and highly functional layout, we integrated both a fridge and a dishwasher, while an undermounted sink maintains a clean, uninterrupted work surface. A discreet pull-out bin system keeps waste out of sight. To complete the space, we installed a four crystal-sided drawer pack, offering practical storage wrapped in a touch of luxury.

Lighting:

LED strip lighting runs throughout the bar and shelving to accentuate materials and create soft ambient lighting.

Outcome

This bespoke home bar delivers the perfect blend of classic style and modern function. Rich finishes, smart storage, and fully integrated appliances come together to create a space that feels both luxurious and welcoming. Whether entertaining guests or relaxing with a coffee, this home bar enhances everyday living with elegance and ease.
