Bespoke front door – Winchfield, Hampshire

We recently completed the design, manufacture and installation of a bespoke timber front door for a private customer in Winchfield.

The brief was to create a striking entrance door that balanced traditional timber craftsmanship with modern security and durability.

The Design Brief

Our customer wanted a front door that would upgrade the character of their property while providing excellent performance and security. The focus was on a high-quality hardwood door with a bold colour finish, complemented by a clean and elegant frame.

Our design team worked closely with the customer to ensure every detail – from the timber selection to the finishing colour – achieved the desired look.

Materials and Construction

The door was manufactured using Sapele hardwood, a premium timber well known for its durability, stability and attractive grain. This makes it an excellent choice for external doors where long term performance and weather resistance are essential.

The door was built using our solid timber construction techniques, ensuring strength, longevity and a refined finish.

Door Material: Sapele hardwood construction

Door Finish: Dulux TR22T 4060R (Red)

Frame Finish: Gloss White

Cill: Black cill

Security: Multipoint locking system

The bold red door finish provides a strong visual statement, while the gloss white frame creates a crisp contrast that highlights the entrance. The black cill completes the design with a clean and durable base detail.

Security and Performance

In addition to aesthetics, the door was fitted with a high-performance multipoint locking system, providing enhanced security and a tight seal when closed. This ensures the door performs well in terms of both safety and energy efficiency.

The Finished Result

The finished installation delivers a distinctive and elegant entrance, combining traditional hardwood craftsmanship with modern security features. The rich colour and natural beauty of the Sapele timber create a welcoming focal point for the property.
