BESPOKE comtemporary kitchen – fleet, Hampshire

OUR CUSTOMER BRIEF

Our brief was to create a bespoke contemporary kitchen for our client in Fleet, Hampshire.

Our customers had a vision of a modern and sophisticated kitchen that seamlessly integrated with their open living space. Their dream was to create a functional, family friendly and stylish kitchen perfect for entertaining guests. The design had to be a statement piece.

Handcrafted for Life

Firstly our talented team, took all the information given and created 3D drawings to help visualise what the end result would look like. Next we needed to undertake structural modifications.

To start the process, our team cleared the existing kitchen by removing all the fixings and fixtures. The arch way leading to the old utility space was removed and the wall leading to an unused dining room was taken down to create the much needed space. A steel beam was installed to support the upper floor. The electrics and plumbing were upgraded and down lighters were installed. The room was then tacked and plastered and the floor levelled using latex.

Our customer opted for luxury vinyl flooring to be laid.

A mixture of custom black matte finish cabinets in the colour ‘off black’ by Farrow and Ball and Halifax Oak were designed to maximise storage space while maintaining a sleek, bold and minimalistic look. Push to open mechanisms eliminated the need for visible handles, contributing to the contemporary design.

Black Corian worktops including a moulded sink were added along with smoked mirror splash backs.

The innovative addition of a cooking island was incorporated, designed to blend function and style together. The island was joined seamlessly to the custom made dining table aimed to bring family and friends together to create unforgettable moments.

The island consisted of a Neff induction hob and an integrated Neff pop up extractor hood. Spices and cooking condiments are able to be stored in the side cupboards and pots and pans in the push open drawers, captivating aesthetic and practically. Other integrated appliances were installed throughout the bespoke kitchen including a dishwasher, two Neff ovens and two plate warming tray’s, perfect for entertaining. The addition of high quality appliances enhanced both the functionality and visual appeal of the kitchen.

We also installed a TV wall mount finished in Halifax Oak with a glass shelve framed with LED lights, operated by a switch on the wall. Adding the lighting elements added depth and atmosphere to the space, highlighting the details and textures of the handcrafted bespoke kitchen.

Timber Technology Limited embraced the bold and extreme idea’s that our customer had for their bespoke kitchen and transformed them into reality, all be it, not without its challenges.

The kitchen space was relatively small, optimising storage and workspace was crucial.

 The initial challenge involved knocking through a wall to create a large kitchen space.

A structural steel frame was added to support the upper floor, requiring meticulous planning and engineering expertise.

The next challenge was the design co-ordination. Co-ordinating the contemporary black kitchen design with the rest of the home’s interior was also a critical aspect of the project.

This case study highlights the successful transformation of an outdated kitchen into a contemporary bespoke masterpiece. The meticulous planning and careful design resulted in a kitchen that not only met the family’s practical needs but fulfilled their dream for a sleek, sophisticated living space.
