Bespoke COMMERCIAL BAR – Preston Lawn Tennis Club, Brighton

We recently had the pleasure of designing and installing a bespoke bar and kitchenette for Preston Lawn Tennis Club in Brighton. The renowned club wanted a space that was both practical and stylish, creating a welcoming spot for members and guests to enjoy. They were keen to modernise their existing bar area, giving it a fresh new look while improving functionality and design.

Design & Materials

Our design team worked closely with the club to select a palette that balanced modern functionality with traditional warmth. The finishes chosen were:

Egger H2033 ST10 Dark Hunton Oak for a rich, textured timber look

Farrow & Ball Hague Blue for bold cabinetry highlights

Atlantic Surf 6 Blue for subtle contrast and coastal undertones

The combination of these finishes created a sophisticated and welcoming environment, perfectly suited to the club’s vibrant social atmosphere.

Features & fixtures

The bespoke joinery included a fully equipped bar and kitchenette featuring:

Manual shutters for secure closure when not in use

Glass washer for efficient service

Wine fridge and two bar fridges for chilled refreshments

Pull-out bin and integrated fridge freezer for space efficiency

Warm white LED lighting to create an inviting glow

Adjustable shelving for flexible storage

Lockable access hatch and lift-up hatch for secure and practical service

Tongue and groove front panelling for a classic finish

Every detail was crafted with precision by our skilled carpenters at our workshop in Church Crookham, ensuring the final installation was both beautiful and built to last.

Installation & Completion

The complete bar and kitchenette were installed on-site over one week, with all elements manufactured and pre-finished in our workshop for a seamless fit. Our installation team ensured minimal disruption to the club’s activities, completing the project on time and to specification.

The finished bar area has transformed the Preston Lawn Tennis Club interior — offering a stylish focal point for members and guests.
